Ray's Push Rod Installation Tips
How to Install wire push-rods:
- The push-rod wires cross just before they exit the rear of the fuse
to insure a smoother operation. Cut two small piece of the furnished
tubing and slide them onto the wires and locate where the wires cross
to prevent the wires from rubbing against each other at the
crossing. Use a small amount of silicone glue to attach the tubes to
each other.
- To prevent the push-rod wires from bowing under load, cut small
lengths of the furnished tubing and slide on push-rod wires and glue
tubing with silicone glue to the fuse sides between the fuse formers.
- To eliminate the possibility of bending the wing rod and brass
tube inside the fuse while winch towing, place two or three layers of
1/8 x 3/8 spruce under the brass tube the width of the fuse with epoxy
before adding the fuse top.
