Greetings gentlemen,
For many of us the flying season is over, or least the best part of it, and we maybe already thinking ahead to next year. My customers have started ordering kits for the building season and lets hope everyone keeps their good health so that we all can enjoy each other's company at Wood Crafters 05, May 26, 27, 28, 29, 2005 at the AMA flying field, Muncie, Indiana. Nothing but fun for all us Woody fans.
WC 05 will be pretty much like WC 04, Thursday and Friday devoted to fun flying with optional competition, Friday night Wood Crafters Awards Dinner and the Wood Crafters SOAR IN CHAMPIONSHIP on Saturday and Sunday.
This has been sent to those of you that entered WC 04 and your quick response, if possible, will be greatly appreciated by me and the people wanting to get into WC 05 and are waiting to see if any frequencies will be available. I need to have a great deal of lead time to get this event put together and buttoned up. I will appreciate it.
Email me if you have questions about the entry form: Or call . Ray Hayes, 9219 Thunder Hill Pl, Fort Wayne, IN 46804
Special categories within the Championship will be awarded trophies to the top score in the following categories: Best OLY ll, Best Challenger, Best Astro Jeff. Please don't forget to sign up for these One of a Kind Awards prior to the contest.
Scale. The best assemblage of Woody Scale sailplanes in the USA
This year we will have three classes of scale events
Gordon's rules and two size classes of Ray's Fun Scale Rules.
Building a scale sailplane is a natural step for us Woody fans and Wood Crafters is doing it's best to promote woody scale. I hope you will consider joining the grand men of scale, Gordon Pearson and Jim Ealy and many others in 2005 and share in the fun of flying home built woody scale sailplanes launched by aero tow, winch or hi start, it is your choice. This year, scale competition judging is Thursday starting at 10 am. The event is open through Sunday. 12 flights are required.
First time for Ray's Fun Scale events.
Two size classes and long flight tasks.
